M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E

We had the opportunity to visit David's family in California. With that came Eric's first trip to DISNEYLAND and time with Grandpa and Marlee! Oh what fun. We were there right after the New Year so all the beautiful Christmas decorations were still up. They truly were magical. We even got to see the Holiday Magic Parade and the Fireworks on their last day of the season. Eric was mesmerized by both (and so was mommy).
Proud boy holding his personalized room key with Mickey Mouse on it!
SO EXCITED. Running from the hotel to Disneyland.

Eric was very excited to meet Mickey Mouse and see his house. When the time came, the real Mickey was a little intimidating. It took a while, but Eric eventually warmed up to the characters--especially Pinny the Pooh (Winnie the Pooh) and Chip and Dale.

Eric's favorite rides by far were It's a Small World and the Train. But, he seemed to enjoy a wide variety and even said that he liked the Pirates of the Caribbean...though at the beginning of the ride when it was very dark he said "I don't like this.." Above: waiting in line for It's a Small World and the coolest balloon animal ever: ELMO! Bottom: Breakfast on day two. He was so excited to go back, he could barely eat. And you know that is rare for our hungry monkey! :)

Two fun filled days for sure!
